This event in 2008 will be the only in the UK to encompass road closed cycling for all levels of abilities. Taking place on Sunday 18 May, Etape Caledonian will start and finish in Highland Perthshire and is open to everyone between the ages of 18 - 80.
Measuring a total of 81 miles (130km) and with an ascent of 1,949m the event will be sure to challenge all competitors. Riders will take in the stunning scenery of the surrounding area, travelling west along Loch Rannoch and Tummel, before returning to the base of Schiehallion for the main climb over into the Breadalbane district before returning to Pitlochry along the north banks of the River Tay.
